Lauren LaPointe has had a passion for performing arts as soon as she step foot on what she calls a stage. At the age of 38, she finally decided to take up ballroom dance lessons in October of 2011 just to learn to dance socially. She never had an official dance lesson before and two and a half months later, her instructor Louis Bar, now coach wanted Lauren to start competing in Pro-Am Ballroom Competitions nationally. She placed 2nd in the 2012 Dancers Cup Tour out of 2500 Pro/Am Students with her Pro/Am dance partner, Louis Bar. That year was such a fantastic journey on and off the dance floor that Lauren decided to continue on and dance more. Here biggest achievement was to get healthy and loose the weight that she was struggling to take off. Still focused on Dance and her Healthy lifestyle in 2013 she went out and competed at many more compititons this time adding in a international market by dancing in her home city in Toronto, Ontario Canada. Now she can call herself a international competItor. After a fantastic year of compitition after competition she was awarded the 2013's Dancers Cup Tour Top Student tittle and placed 4th in the Dancesport Series Leaderboard. Dancing at each competition Lauren challenges herself with entering on a average if 350 heats at each competition up to 900 single dances as the 2013 First Coast Classic Dancesport Championships. In 2014 Lauren's goals were much higher. She wanted to see how many Tours or Series she could win in one year. Lauren is the 2014 Diamond Star Top Overall Champion, 2014 Triple Crown Top Bronze Student Champion, 2014 Top Student The Jackpot - Las Vegas Dancesport Series, 2014 Top Student Global Dancesport Series Champion.
With her experience in many Dancesport Tours and Series she created the Paradise Dancesport Tour. This is her way to give back to the hard working students and teachers in the business. Lauren feels so blessed to be able to finally find a passion in dance and to do what she loves every day while inspiring others to not wait to follow dreams. Lauren always wanted to learn ballroom dancing officially and waited for the right opportunity to take the first step. She is also proud to say that dancing has also helped her take a step in to the right direction and loose weight and feel more and more fit every day. Never let a dream be only that. A Dream....."It's not only a dream, it's a process"
